Do teeth affect singing much?

I just watched a youtube clip of David Bowie and how one of the concerns of comestic dentistry was that if his teeth were made too long or too short it would hurt his singing ability? Is this true? The sing will not adjust?

By the same token, Amy Winehouse manages to sing with missing teeth and Hilary Duff sings with those monster veneers. How much do teeth affect singing??? Any comments are appreciated!!!!|||Its not really your teeth per say, its the way your jaw is positioned. My teeth are completely crooked and make my jaw sit funny, so some sounds when I'm singing can come out a bit weird. Sometimes there is saliva build up, but your teeth can't effect if you have a good voice or not. Also Freddy Mercury had an over bite and he could sing fine. It's buck teeth that need to be worried about, because some sounds just won't come out right. |||Yes. Especially if it is the teeth before your molers. It effects the amount of air you can control in your mouth during expressive sounds like. Sings "Yeah, Oh, Ewe" things like that. It does not happen to everyone. It happened to me. Took a long time to adjust.|||I don't think they have a huge impact on singing. Freddy Mercury..lead singer of Queen ...had a huge overbite yet had the most amazing voice ever. |||it depends if you sing loud a nuff to break your teeth|||Well if you look at Paul Pott's mouth... i'd say teeth dont mean a thing.|||What 'ourangel' said !
